Dear Freedom Fighters |
On behalf of the Georgia State Conference of the National Association for The Advancement of Colored People, it is my pleasure to extend greetings to each of you. I am deeply grateful that you have once again selected me as your president for the next two years. I am committed to empowering NAACP units across Georgia by providing the training and resources necessary to accomplish the mission. I am also committed to building stronger coalition partners as we prepare to face and defeat all enemies of Freedom. |
Through more than six decades the Georgia State Conference NAACP has stood as the Armor Bearer for African Americans in the Great State of Georgia. Members of this association in Georgia have served with the highest level of integrity and courage. |
It is now the responsibility of each of us to carry on the legacy of those great warriors who came before us. Warriors like Ralph Mark Gilbert, Rev Julius C Hope, Robert Flanagan and Walter Butler just to name a few. I challenge each of us to rise to greatness by increasing membership, voter registration, and new start up units in counties throughout Georgia. I also challenge each of us to make a concerted effort to work closer together as we take Georgia to the next level. |
Finally Freedom fighters, be strong in the lord and he will guide our path as we lead the Biggest, Baddest, and Boldest Organization towards its One Hundredth Birthday (2009). |
